Somenishiki fuchidori - Chrysanthemum split small plate
Koyogama was opened in 1947. At that time, we mainly produced sake cups. An attitude that hasn't changed since then. I want to make everyday tableware that is necessary for everyday life, centering on indigo and white vessels. Aiming to create pottery that naturally blends into the living space and gives a sense of relief, we continue to make it every day. It is with this in mind that Koyo kiln vessels are made.
I think the characteristic of Koyo-gama is that you can relax and enjoy making pottery that doesn't fit into the mold. Although it is made using Arita's traditional dyeing technique, the design and colors are arranged in a modern style, making it a perfect fit for today's lifestyles. When I think about the presentation of food, I think it is because Mr. Hao's thoughts are reflected everywhere in the tableware that I naturally imagine dishes using slightly fashionable ingredients.
