Risogama works every day to create pottery that allows you to feel the warmth of human hands. Arita ware from the 1600s, known as "Early Imari," is different from modern Arita ware that strives for high quality. Although made of porcelain, it is prone to ash and distortion, and you can feel the warmth of the maker. In pursuit of the atmosphere of that time, they use glazes and paints of their own blend to create pottery that exudes a nostalgic atmosphere. This plate is a faithful reproduction of teal from a pottery made during the Early Imari period. The brushwork is so subtle that at first glance it seems like a transfer. If you look closely, you will see that each piece is different, which is fascinating.
