Karakusa - Mamezara

Sale price¥2,420

A kiln that mainly produced tableware for commercial use, such as inns and Japanese restaurants. Therefore, Mr. Kamamoto responds to a wide range of techniques, from extraordinary avant-garde techniques to traditional dyeing techniques. The special feature of this work is a technique called ichichin, in which liquid soil is drawn by pouring it little by little using a needle-like tool, like drawing a decorated cake. Able to express three-dimensionally. Since the pottery is baked in the main firing, the painted part will not come off unless the pottery is cracked.
