Realita Ceramic Store
Realita Ceramics Store is an online shop operated by a wholesaler with over 100 years of experience handling Arita ware and other ceramics from the Hizen region. Arita ware, a historic porcelain, celebrated its 400th anniversary in 2016 as the birthplace of Japanese porcelain. With deep respect for its history, traditions, and the skilled artisans who uphold them, our store serves as a bridge between modern lifestyles and the timeless beauty of Arita ware and Hizen ceramics.
Sustainability
The precious Amakusa clay, the raw material of Arita ware, is a finite natural resource. To minimize waste, we crush and reuse B-grade products and other materials that cannot be sold. Additionally, in a pioneering effort within the region, we have developed a unique recycled clay by blending iron-rich pottery stones—traditionally considered unsuitable for Arita ware, which values pure whiteness—creating a distinctive and richly textured material.
