This year marks the 120th Arita Pottery Fair. During the fair, which runs from April 29th to May 5th, shops line the entire town, and the usually quiet pottery village becomes very lively just for this occasion. This is also the first time the online pottery fair has been held since the website was relaunched last year. We have prepared even more powerful plans than last year. Realita Ceramics Store is a store operated by a wholesaler that deals in ceramics from the Hizen area, mainly Arita ware for over 100 years. Arita ware is a production area with a long history, celebrating 400 years as the birthplace of porcelain in 2016. This is an online store that connects a wide variety of modern lifestyles with Arita ware (Hizen pottery) while paying respect to history, tradition, and all the craftsmen and techniques that support them.
Sustainability
Precious Amakusa clay, the raw material for Arita ware. In order not to waste the finite resources provided by nature, we crush and reuse unsaleable B products produced during the manufacturing process. In addition, for the first time in the production area, we have developed recycled ceramic clay with a rich texture that is blended with iron-rich pottery stone, which is rarely used for Arita ware, which requires whiteness.
